Hello everyone!

Last night was a great night for the AWA! As many of you know, we held the Kicks and Kroks event yesterday evening at Etihad Stadium. Around 140 attendees ate, drank and were merry while the Harvard Krokidiloes performed wonderful a capella songs before and after the St Kilda/ Carlton footy game. Masoomeh Wake (our VP of Fundraising) was instrumental in planning this successful event and we had fantastic live and silent auctions organised by Eve Duddy and Debbie Kimberely. Thank you so much to these ladies for all of their hard work!! We are still waiting for the final fundraising total to be determined and will share this with you soon!

Our next fundraising event is coming up very soon! We will be holding a night at the MSO (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) on 1 August. This is a family event and children are invited. There will be a talk prior to the event and then the concert - it should be a great outing for the whole family! Purchase your tickets on the AWA website now!

The AWA Board also changes over on 1 August. I just want to say a special thank you to the ladies who are leaving the Board on 1 August - Ann Marie Johnston (Immediate Past President and current Website Director), Heather Pfaff Cunsolo (Director of Internal Communications), Lacey Alford (Treasurer) and Andrea Taormina (Events Director). Thanks for a great year ladies - it was wonderful working with all of you!

I know there are a number of members travelling over the next couple of months back to the US and abroad. Next week Matt and I are off to the US to visit my family. I just can't wait - in particular to see my little niece and nephew (and for some Missouri summer weather)!! After our trip to the US we are spending some time in the Greek Islands, which should be wonderful as well! Safe travels to everyone who is making the journey home or abroad these next couple of months.

Hope to see you all at an AWA event soon!!!

Kind regards

Tiffany
