Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! I certainly did!

The AWA's joint Thanksgiving Event co-hosted with the American Australian Association was an absolutely wonderful night! Thank you so very much to Lauren Bardis, the Thanksgiving Chairperson, for her wonderful leadership and planning of this event - I know all attendees had a fantastic night!

Personally, I had a great Thanksgiving. Of course the AWA event on the 22nd of November was amazing!!! Then, my husband and I celebrated the holiday early this year as he headed overseas on the 25th for work obligations. On Thanksgiving Day itself, our lovely Consul General, Mary Bruce Warlick, was nice enough to invite me to celebrate at her home with other friends and family - which was just great! I am so Thankful to have had so many wonderful Thanksgiving celebrations this year - I am very blessed to have great friends and family to celebrate with down here in Oz!

I hope that many of you attended the AWA Christmas Cookie Exchange held just this morning! What a wonderful AWA tradition! Thank you to Heather Pfaff Cunsolo for organising!

There are plenty of other exciting AWA events coming up before Christmas - including our Christmas Cocktail Event "Cocktails with the Consul", to be held on 12 December at the residence of Consul General, Mary Bruce Warlick. Please consult the AWA website and calendar for further information and to purchase tickets! Also, the AWA will be holding our last event of the year in conjunction with the Melbourne Theatre Company's production of Mountaintop, on 14 December. Mountaintop is a fictional play about Martin Luther King's final night on earth. I have seen it and can say that it's powerful and extremely engaging!! Please buy your tickets to this event on the AWA website as well!

Happy Holidays and I hope to see you all at an AWA event soon!!!

Many kind regards
