A 22 year veteran diplomat, Earl Irving moved to Melbourne in August of 2005. Earl has served in a number of posts throughout the world, including US Embassies and Consulates in Moscow, (former) USSR; Pretoria, South Africa; Sao Paolo, Brazil; Harare, Zimbabwe; Mexico City, Mexico; and in Washington, DC.
Dominic Barbuto
Director, Visible Ink Design and Marketing, Australia and New Zealand.
Renownedfor their Croporate Image and Logo designs, as well as their full graphic design, illustration and marketing services in the Entertainment industry, Visible Ink also specialises in Special Events, publications, Corportate advertising in various industries. Dominic has contributed his art designer and illustrator skills to the AWA Independence Day Ball committees for several years.
James Barton Ashcroft

James is a long time supporter of the AWA Independence Ball, providing expert event management and production support that bring together the many parts of the AWA Independence Day Ball, and make it the spectacular night that it is. GPJ Design Troupe provide event and exhibition management and production to many world leading brands including IBM, Chrysler Jeep, Rotary International, Harley Davidson, Nissan, British Telecom and Porsche.
Robert Carroll

Robert received his Accountancy degree from the University of Illinois and his Masters degree in Tax from DePaul University. Robert, who has had an association with the AWA for some years, is a qualified accountant with over 30 years experience, specialising in expatriate taxation, employee share plan design, and cross-border tax planning.

Carole is actively involved with a family company and the activities of her daughters. Carole’s extensive community service includes her current position as President of theAuxiliaries at RCH, as well as her past involvement as an executive member of the Lady Mayoress’ Committee for the Lord Mayor’s Fund, Senior Parent Co-ordinator of Melbourne Girls’ Grammar, and member of the Lady Gowrie Child Centre Research Study Committee.

David has been in various sales and marketing assignments with General Mills for over 16 years, the last 3 in Australia.

Barry formerly lectured at the University of Illinois (Champaign) and Monash University. Named Victorian Father of the Year (2002/3), Barry has given the AWA enormous hands on support hands on support in all its endeavours for over ten years.

Graeme Trippett
Director, Pepper Dog Productions
With more than 28 years experience in the television industry, Graeme has a range of management and production skills. He has been the Director of Production at GTV9 in Melbourne, and currently produces the hit show “Dancing with the Stars” for Channel 7. Graeme was appointed in 2002 by the Federal Minister for the Arts and Sport to the Interim Council of Screen-Sound Australia for three years.
