Volunteering at the RCH
The AWA volunteers at the RCH through two major initiatives - the Starlight
Craft Room and the RCH Gift Shop.
In order to work at the hospital you must have a working with children check card.
Each shift needs two AWA volunteers, so you could sign up with an old friend or meet a new friend when you arrive. You will have fun learning to work the register, restocking greeting cards and helping shoppers with purchasing decisions. There's always a permanent worker who knows the ropes...So don't be shy!

Starlight Craft Room
Brighten the day of a sick child!
On the first Monday of every month, AWA has committed to provide three to
four volunteers to the Starlight Room. This is a place where patients and
their siblings, parents or other carers can take a break and create
something special. AWA provides volunteers and craft supplies for a few
hours of activities that are sure to bring a smile to everyone's face.
The Starlight Room is located on the ground floor of the hospital.

Gift Shop
The AWA has a monthly commitment to assist employees in the Gift Shop at the Royal Children's Hospital.Each shift needs two AWA volunteers, so you could sign up with an old friend or meet a new friend when you arrive. You will have fun learning to work the register, restocking greeting cards and helping shoppers with purchasing decisions. There's always a permanent worker who knows the ropes...So don't be shy!
