"A non-profit organization can only be as good as its volunteers."

Fundraising is always a challenge.  The reward, for all of our hard work, is that we provide much-needed equipment to the direct benefit of so many children at the Royal Children's Hospital.  The AWA has adopted a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that encapsulates our mission.  It reads:

To share often and much…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded.

Across our membership, there are wonderful people making a difference every day in many ways.  Whether it is baking goods for Andy's Market or sitting on a Committee in any capacity, you will make a difference to those who need it most.  Along the way, gain new experiences, new friends and even new skills.

In the AWA, we also realise that Fundraising incorporates the word FUN.

We look to incorporate creative ways in which to raise money, such as the introduction of a Wishing Well for loose coins, bearing the slogan "Wishing Kids Well" and kindly donated by Channel Nine.  We seek to set ourselves apart from other charities and causes, attract sponsors and provide a great time for our members.

So come and join us as we embark on FUNdraising for the RCH, and help us to make even one child's life breathe easier.
