 IDC Tickets are still Available!
There's still time to buy your tickets for our Independence Day Celebration on Saturday June 20th, 2009 at Bobby Mcgee's at Rydges Hotel. The evening commences at 7pm with a roaming dinner and cash bar. Dress is smart casual. We are very close to our goal but we need your support to raise funds to purchase the Jaeger BabyBody Lung Function equipment for the Cystic Fibrosis Research Team at the Royal Children's Hospital.

Our Paypal link is working and is a secure method for payment. Tickets are $55 per person for an evening of food, entertainment and dancing with The Hustle. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation to the AWA. It will go directly to support RCH Cystic Fibrosis Research Team. Contact Tennille if you need further information.

Luscious Coffee Morning

Out 2 Lunch Bunch
On Monday June 15th join the Bunch for authentic Malaysian Food at Blue Chillies located at 182 Brunswick St. Fitzroy at 12 noon. Blue Chillies brings you the tastes and textures of Malaysian cuisine, with a modern edge. RSVP to Shani. Please note the Out 2 Lunch Bunch will not be meeting in July.

Wine Appreciation Group
Our very active Wine Appreciation Group is looking for you! Melbourne has lots to offer for wine aficionados so join our group's mailing list and be the first to know about events like June's D' Arenberg Master Class where members can enjoy an evening with d’Arenberg winemaker and Brand Ambassador Nick James-Martin exploring the famed, and uniquely named, McLaren Vale wines of d’Arenberg. d’Arenberg are masters of crafting Rhône-style blends and this class will shed light on some of the region’s famous varieties including Roussanne, Viognier, Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre. There are just a few spaces available so RSVP ASAP if you would like to attend. To RSVP and to join the Wine Appreciation mailing list contact Shani or Heide. The Wine Appreciation will not be held in July.
GenX Bag Lady Evening
We are in trying economic times so the Bag Lady is back and she needs a home! Clean out your closet and turn your "trash" into someone's treasure. Join us on at 12:30 PM on Saturday, June 27th with anything you want to trade...clothes, shoes and accessories. We'll put everything together in the middle and the "shopping" will begin! All items left will be donated to the Salvation Army. Soft drinks will be provided or BYO and we'll chip in for pizza. If you would like to host this event, please contact Melanie ASAP! All you need to do is provide a guy-free room (so we can try on clothes) and we'll bring the rest! RSVP to Melanie by Wednesday, June 24.
Bayside Memory Makers
Got pictures? Set aside a day to scrapbook them all! Join us on Wednesday June 10th anytime from 10 am - 4 pm at Carolyn's house in Hampton. Morning tea will be provided but BYO lunch. Please RSVP to Carolyn for a space.
Gift Shop News
2 volunteers are urgently needed for the 10-1 shift on Thursday, 25 June in the RCH Gift Shop. Besides spending time getting acquainted with another AWA member, volunteers assist the shop manager at the checkout counter and help customers with gift selection. No previous experience required! Other available dates include 23 July, 27 August, and 24 September. Contact Caron to volunteer today!
