Working With Children Certification
Many of you may have already received information requesting that we obtain the Working With Children certification as part of the Royal Children's Hospital Auxiliaries. While we encourage you to comply with this request by the June deadline, we understand that it may pose a great burden on some of our members. The RCH Auxiliary Office is currently reviewing this request and we are awaiting further details from them soon. Please stay tuned for further clarification.
AWA member Memorial Service
A long time AWA member ANN LOUISE OLDHAM recently passed away. There are two events planned for Saturday May 23rd to celebrate her life and work. The first is from 1 pm at the Albert Park Lake north of the Carousel where Ann’s sister Sue will unveil a plaque and dedicate a tree to Ann. Beginning at 2 pm to 4 pm, Ann’s friends and colleagues gather together at the Red Rotunda at the State Library of Victoria to unveil a plaque and a pane of glass dedicated to Ann in the La Trobe Reading Room. A selection of food platters and refreshments will be served.
