Easter Eggstravaganza 
There are just a few days to get your tickets before March 20th price rise! The kids will have an eggstremely good time at our AWA Easter party on Saturday April 4, 2009 at Hays Paddock, Kew. There will be lots of fun Easter activities for kids to enjoy! The cost is $8 per child if you book now, the price rises to $15 per child on March 20. Contact Tracy for more information. GenX Events Update
Join us for dinner and a movie on Friday March 20th. We have 9 buy one, get one free passes to "New in Town" starring Renee Zellweger. Please RSVP to Melanie for dinner location details and to receive regular GenX mailings.

Wine Appreciation
Join us at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival on Sunday March 22. We will meet at 11 am in front of the Arts Centre and stroll over to spend the afternoon at the Cellar Door until 5pm. The cost is $25 per person and partners are welcome! Please RSVP to Heide.
PM Book Club

Short Story Competition
The AWAre team is holding its first Short Story Competition for AWA members. We want to see your creativity shine! We will print the top 3 choices in upcoming issues of the magazine. The guidelines are: 1) Stories must be written by an AWA member; 2) Stories must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 to be considered; and 3) Stories may be of any nature or topic however, they must be 700 words or fewer. Please submit to Tracee or by mail (address may be found in AWA directory). Questions? Contact Tracee for all the details.
All Things Gourmet
We will be meeting on Wednesday April 8th, note the 2nd Wednesday of April, for a gourmet lunch. Please RSVP Debbie K for a recipe and location details.
Attention New York Voters
A special election is called for the 20th Congressional District to fill the Federal House of Representatives seat vacated by Kirsten E. Gillibrand. The 20th District includes the counties of: Columbia, Greene, Warren, Washington, Part of Saratoga, Part of Delaware, Part of Otsego, Part of Rensselaer, Part of Dutchess, and Part of Essex.
Important Dates: Voters from this District who requested and received a ballot for the Federal General election on November 4, 2008 will automatically receive the special general election ballot, and need take no further action.
March 21 – Un-registered voters must submit their Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) for registration/request of ballot to their local board of election by mail. March 23 – Registered voters who did not get a ballot for the Nov 4, 2008 General Election must submit their FPCA to request a ballot to their local board of election by mail. March 30 – Voted ballots must be postmarked by this date and received by the local board of elections by April 7, 2009. (Remember to ask at AusPost for a postmarked mail label)
