Annie is busy taking RSVPs for the Annual General Meeting being held on Tuesday, October 7 from 6-8PM. We will have a short business meeting reviewing our activities for the year followed by plenty of time for socializing with friends over light fare! All members are welcome to attend! We are looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Wine Appreciation Group

Armadale Cellars Courtyard "Pinot & Pie" Tasting

Join us as we taste 30-40 Mornington Peninsula Pinots with accompanying gourmet pies under the courtyard marquee. Meet the winemakers and understand the personalities, dedication and passion of the people who make these exceptional wines. A host of different wineries will accompany us on the day.

Many states have registration deadlines coming in the first two weeks of October. Even if you are already registered you need to request your absentee ballot from your state election board as soon as possible. There are many websites to do this including, www.fvap.org or check out Overseas Voting Foundation to fill out your registration form no matter what state you are from. https://www.overseasvotefoundation.org/overseas/home.htm

PALS Dinner on the Town

The PALS group will be meeting for dinner on Saturday October 11th at the Shark Fin Inn on 50 Little Bourke St, Melbourne.  The cost is $40 per person and BYO.  Please RSVP by October 7th to Erica Higbie on 9592-0487 or to Lisa Capper on 9822-1507.  All AWA members and partners are welcome!

October Coffee Morning

Everyone is invited to our October coffee morning at Teri Abraham's home at 206 Serpells Rd Templestowe on Friday October 17th at 10 am. Small children are welcome! Please rsvp to Teri here.

Our Thanksgiving Celebration

Our first major fundraiser of this year will soon be approaching with the Thanksgiving Dinner. Make it a family event at the International of Brighton on Sunday November 23rd from 4-8 pm.  There will be a turkey on every table with all the trimmings.  Tickets are $65/adult and $35/child ages 3-12.  Children under 3 are free.  You will be helping us raise money for much needed equipment for the Cystic Fibrosis Team at the Royal Children's Hospital with the proceeds from the silent auction and Christmas tree raffle.  Kids will enjoy the activities area and a special "surprise" guest!  To RSVP please check your nextAWAre magazine for your invitation.
