Halloween Happenings

Trick or Trunk is on its way!  To RSVP for this super fun family event, follow this link to print out your halloween_party_2008_invitation!  If you would like to help out with the Halloween Committee, there is still time.  The Halloween Committee wil be meeting at Hayes Paddock on Thursday, Sept. 18th at 10 am. Coffee Morning

Our September Coffee Morning will be held on Friday, Sept 19th from 10-12PM at Teranne Keogh’s home. Address: 10 Lawrence St, Blackburn South. Please RSVP to Teranne here.

GenX Tapas and Drinks Evening

The next GenX event will be held on the evening of Friday, September 26th and we will be starting off at Bar Lourinha in Little Collins St, a Melbourne institution well known for its delicious tapas, awesome wine list and amazing churros! After dinner we'll head out for out for drinks and dancing for anyone who would like to kick up their heels. Sorry guys, this is a ladies only event and more details to follow. AWA Annual General Meeting

The time is now to RSVP for the AWA Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, October 7 from 6-8PM. We're looking forward to sharing with everyone what the American Women's Auxiliary has been up to and what's in store for the coming year. All members are welcome to attend, so this will be a great opportunity for long time and new members to catch up over some food and drinks.

PM Book Club Reminder

There will be no PM Book Club in September but we will be meeting again in October to discuss Sara Gruen's Water for Elephants. Look for more details in the next issue of the Stars and Stripes newsletter.

For Parents of High Schoolers- PSAT sign-ups

Sign up for the PSAT being given on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. Leonard's School by EducationUSA. The fee is $55 payable on the day by cash or check only. To register call EducationUSA at 9526 5966 or by email to edusa@usconmelbourne.org. Please leave the following information on the voicemail system: test taker's name, mailing address, telephone number, year level and school attending. Further information will be mailed to registrants at the end of September.
