Welcome to another edition of Stars And Stripes E-Newsletter, keeping you up to date with what's happening with the AWA!
You'll notice there's a new format to this edition as we move onto using the website for generating the newsletter. This will help to consolidate our efforts - and hopefully get us all using the website more and more. Clicking on Read More will jump you onto the website for more information on the article you are reading.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL TIME - Renew by Wednesday, August 1st
August 1st is the deadline for renewing memberships. The new year promises to be full of great new plans and we hope that you'll plan to remain a member of organization that makes a daily impact on young lives here in Melbourne.
This year, we've made it one step easier for you - by allowing you to update your profile and pay for your membership online! This also makes the process easier for us - so that we don't have to then re-enter all of your data. If you've already mailed in your membership renewal and payment that was included in the recent AWAre magazine, BRAVO for being prompt! If you haven't already renewed your membership, please do so today!
To renew your membership now simply click here to go directly to our website to fill out the form.
Please make sure to update your profile FIRST. This will update the AWA on which areas you are most interested in volunteering for and which social activities interest you most. We request that you update this each year at renewal time as your life circumstances may have changed in the preceeding year.
Once your profile is updates, please click on the Pay Using Paypal area. The cost for membership renewal is $52.
If you know of a new member that would like to join the AWA, please direct them to Joining the AWA. New members pay membership cost plus $10 initiation fee.
PLEASE NOTE: You must have already joined as a website member of the AWA in order to renew your membership. If you have not already joined the AWA's website simply click here to sign up. Board Meeting – Both incoming and outgoing members, Thursday, July 19th:

GenX July Event - Camping in Regional Victoria; Friday July 20 - 22:
Originally scheduled for the 13-15, this event still has room for one or two other couples. Come brave it in a rustic cabin with the GenX ladies. Currently 7 couples plan spend Friday and/or Saturday night in Regional Vic. If interested, contact Ann Marie on 0425-775-956.
Children's Halloween Party - Committee Meeting - Friday, July 20th:

Movie Night - Saturday, August 11:
The Melbourne International Film Festival is happening and Movie Night will be watching "Lady Chatterley" on Saturday 11 August at 3pm. The venue is the Regent Theatre - 191 Collins Street in the city. It is a beautiful venue and the movie should be good. Have a look for details about the movie - or other film festival events on www.melbournefilmfestival.com.au. You can book tickets on line too. Get in early in order to get a seat – they sell out quickly. If you are interested in coming along with the group, please RSVP to Catherine Irwin on 9568 0334 or Email Catherine.
