AWA MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS DUE!
Just another friendly reminder that membership renewals are due by August 31st! To access a copy of the membership form, please click awa_membership_app2 (a copy of the application also can be found in the back of the latest AWARE magazine). Please also take a few minutes to update your membership profile as this keeps us updated with your contact information, volunteering availability and social activity interests. The membership fee is $50.00 (with an additional $2 surcharge if paying online via paypal).
You can also pay online via paypal by clicking onto the AWA website, www.awamelbourne.org. Please note that a late fee will be incurred on all renewals received after September 1st.
 HALLOWEEN PARTY PLANNING COMMITTEE BEING ORGANIZED!
The annual AWA "Trick or Trunk" Halloween party will soon be here! The party will be held on October 26th at Hays Paddock Park from 4-6 p.m. Rebecca Cannon and Charlene Johnston are spearheading the committee to plan the event and are looking for volunteers to help! There will be lots of fun games, a costume contest, prizes and, of course, trick or treating! If you are interested in being part of the committee, please contact Charlene Johnston or Rebecca Cannon here. Our first meeting will be Thursday, August 14th at 10:00 a.m at Charlene's house. We hope to see you there!
THANKSGIVING 2008 COMMITTEE MEETING WILL BE HELD AUGUST 7TH!
AWA member Mindy Thiesen would like to invite all interested AWA members to her house on August 7th at 7:30 p.m. to plan this year's Thanksgiving dinner! Please note that you can be involved as little or as much as you like - so for those who are worried about not having the time, there are lots of little jobs that can be done. The Holiday Luncheon has always been a wonderful event to get us in the holiday spirit! We are presently looking for members to help make this a joyous occasion where we can all gather and enjoy the holiday season. THE NEXT MOMS AND TOTS PLAYGROUP ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 7TH!

This is my last newsletter for AWA. I have enjoyed writing it this past year and thank all those members who have helped me along the way!
