The biggest social event of the year for AWA is coming up in June! Yes, next month! All of the AWA Ball invitations have now been delivered so please get your responses in now! The AWA Ball, with the theme of "Beauty with a Purpose" will be held at the Palladium Ballroom at the Crown Towers on Friday, June 20th. We look forward to seeing you there!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE ROYAL CHILDRENS' HOSPITAL GIFT SHOP!
We are looking for members to volunteer for the RCH Gift Shop on either May 22nd or June 26th. Each shift requires two AWA volunteers so sign up with a friend or meet a new friend when you arrive. You will have fun learning to work the register, restocking greeting cards and helping customers with purchasing decisions. For more information, please contact Sandy Sandefur here.

 COFFEE MORNING COMING UP ON MAY 30TH!
Please come to this month's Coffee Morning at Tracee Veenstra's house on May 30th at 10:00 a.m. Coffee Mornings are a great chance to socialize with old friends and make some new friends as well. Please contact Heather Ali here or Tracee Veenstra here if you are interested in attending.
GENERATION X IS HOSTING A BAG LADY EVENT!
Back by popular demand, the Bag Lady Event will be held at Allison Milverton's house in South Yarra on Friday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. This is an event where you go through your closet/home and find anything that is in "gently" worn or used condition that is "no longer for you" but that you think someone else might enjoy! This can include clothes, shoes, jewelry, handbags and other accessories - even household goods, husband's clothes, kids' clothes, books, etc. All is welcome and what isn't taken will go to charity. Please bring a little cash so we can chip in for pizza and BYO.

HOUSE HUNTERS IS LOOKING FOR HOME BUYERS IN MELBOURNE!
The television show House Hunters, which airs on the Home and Garden Television Network (HGTV) is currently looking for home buyers in Melbourne. House Hunters is a 1/2 hour documentary style television program that follows a home buyer as a real estate agent helps them search for a home and make a purchase. They are now doing an international version and are looking for home buyers who would like to participate. If you are buying a property in Melbourne and are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Sarah, the producer of the show, at sara_allison@pietown.tv by responding with your name and the best way to contact you.
