THE  NEXT AWA BALL MEETING IS ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH!
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming AWA Independence Day Ball meeting on February 26th. The meeting will be held at Sandy Sandefur's home at noon. We would love to have more volunteers to help with the planning of this hugely popular event! We are having lunch so please let Sandy know if you plan to attend. Please contact either Cindy Hawkins or Sandy Sandefur with any questions.
 MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE INDEPENDENCE DAY BALL!!
AWA's biggest social and fundraising event will be here before we know it!! The AWA Independence Day Ball, with a "Miss RCH Charity Pageant" theme is set for June 20, 2008. The Ball is held at the Crown Casino and is a truly enjoyable and dressed-up affair with a live band, dancing, dinner and silent and live auctions.
 REMINDER - NEXT AWA COFFEE MORNING SCHEDULED THIS FRIDAY!
Don't miss the next Coffee Morning coming up this Friday, February 22nd. The coffee will be held at Teri Abrahams' house at 10:00 a.m. Coffee Mornings are a great way for new members to get connected. To RSVP or to get directions, please contact Teri Abrahams here. We hope to see you there!
 GOURMET LUNCH GROUP MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5TH!
The All Things Gourmet Lunch Group is getting together on March 5th for their monthly feast! This month, the group will be meeting at Jo Slusser's home at 12:00 p.m. If you enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes, this is a great group to join.  THE GENERATION X GROUP IS GOING TO THE MOVIES!
The Generation X Group is starting up again for the year and their first event will be seeing the movie "The Breakfast Club" at the Rooftop Cinemas on Friday, February 29th. All Generation Xers are welcome to meet at Cookie at 6:30 p.m. for dinner and then head over to the cinema.  DINNER RESERVATIONS STILL AVAILABLE FOR THE AWA/GRACE CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT!
AWA members still have the opportunity to join golf members for dinner ($80.00 per person) and support the Royal Children's Hospital. Matt Tilley of Fox FM Gotcha Calls will be playing and there are fantastic auction items up for grabs. All proceeds will benefit the Opthamology Department at the Royal Children's Hospital. MEMBERS NEEDED FOR THE AWA WEBSITE TEAM!
The AWA website has proven to be a fantastic way to bring in new members and keep current members up-to-date on changes and events happening within the AWA organization! The design and management of the website has proven to be a big (albeit worthwhile!) undertaking and we are currently looking for ladies who would be interested in joining the Website team. USA FOOD STORE IS MOVING!
In mid-April, USA Foods Store will be moving! Their new address will be: 146 Cochranes Road in Morabbin. For newcomers to the Melbourne Area, USA Foods Store stocks all types of American food products that can't be found in Australian supermarkets, including brand-name peanut butter, pancake mixes, maple syrup and seasonal food items.
