Welcome to another edition of Stars And Stripes E-Newsletter, keeping you up to date with what's happening with the AWA!
Happy Holidays!!! Thank you to all the members who have come out and supported AWA and the Royal Children's Hospital by attending the many events we have had so far this holiday season! Both the cookie exchange and the Thanksgiving dinner enjoyed large turnouts! The last of the 2007 holiday events is mentioned below and we will give a sneak peek into some of the events we are working on for 2008!
 LADIES' HOLIDAY LUNCHEON IS FAST APPROACHING!
Please RSVP NOW to the annual AWA holiday lunch! The luncheon will be held at the No.3 Station Pier in Port Melbourne. Please arrive at 12:00 p.m. for champagne and appetizers followed by a delicious lunch. The cost is $55.00 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Royal Children's Hospital. Please bring a wrapped gift for a boy or girl (please specify which) and we will deliver the presents to the sick children at RCH. Reservation forms can be found in the November issue of AWARE magazine. LAST MOVIE NIGHT FOR 2007!
The last movie night for 2007 will be on Monday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. After the movies, the ladies often go out for a quick bite. If you are interested, please contact Catherine Irwin by clicking here.
 GENERATION Xers HOLIDAY PICNIC!
Please join the Generation Xers for a casual holiday picnic on the Yarra River on Saturday, December 1st. Please bring the meat to barbecue as well as a potluck meal to share and meet at around 4:00 p.m. with an early dinner around 5:30 p.m. Parents and children are welcome! 2008 AWA DIRECTORY TO BE PUBLISHED SOON!
To be included in the 2008 AWA Directory, all members must have paid their dues. To get the most comprehensive list of all of our members, we ask that those members who have not yet paid to send in their membership fees as soon as possible! To make payment easier than ever, members are free to use Paypal to pay their fees online. To renew your membership, simply click here to go directly to the AWA website to fill out the form. SNEAK PEEK INTO 2008 EVENTS!
VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY - The AWA Valentine's Day Party has traditionally been a very formal and very fun affair! More details of this party will be forthcoming in the next newsletter.
2008 CHARITY GOLF EVENT - This annual golf event is played at one of the best golf courses in Australia and has been very popular with our members and sponsors in the past! And this event kicks off our first major fundraising effort of the year for the Royal Children's Hospital! It will be held in March and if you and/or your company is interested in sponsoring this worthwhile event, please contact Jo Slusser by clicking here.
