Thank you for your interest in AWAre, the American Women's Auxiliary
Magazine. AWAre has been around since the inception of the AWA and,
like all aspects of our non-profit organization, it is produced by AWA
members who volunteer their time, effort and creativity to help our
cause. Through the years our treasured publication has undergone many
changes, from the one page flyer of the early 1930's to the magazine of
the 21st century. We ask that you take a moment to consider the
benefits of advertising in AWAre Magazine. Currently we have a
circulation of over 250 with distribution to our members, Panel of
Advisors, relocation agents and advertisers.
As reflective
of how the AWA is evolving as an organization, we have recently
upgraded to an A3 format and design. Our intent is to place more focus
on the children at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), so it is only
suiting that our magazine cover display artwork created by them. The
cover will continue to change monthly and will include taglines to draw
more interest in the featured content. We do not consider any of our
content to be filler. Every article or column has its own importance
and helps emphasize our magazine's name - aware or AWA re: (regarding).
To offer maximum exposure to our advertisers, we have placed the ads
among the content allowing our readers to take more notice of the ads -
and for longer. We are proud of our new large format AWAre. It has been
a labor of love and we hope you enjoy it!
Here are some other advantages of our new format for both the reader and the advertisers:
Allows room for growth - the old format was at the maximum number of pages
Transforms our newsletter into a magazine
Provides a more professional look
Assists in attracting potential members
Improves promotion for our advertisers
Increases interest for readers through better event promotion
Creates more desire to read through easier reading
Improves representation of the AWA
We would not be able to produce this magazine without our advertisers.
Our magazine is the main source of communication to our membership
enabling us to, among other things, announce, coordinate, and discuss
our fundraising efforts for the Australian Children's Heart Research
Centre at the RCH. Will you please join us in helping protect the pulse
of our youth?
Best regards,
